About the artist
Meet Joseph Patrick Micacchione (me-katch-ee-oh-nay), an Atlanta-based artist who launched Abstract By Joe LLC in September of 2021. His creative enterprise grew from a preference for abstract expression and his humble and smart approach to life. In 2022, Joseph is scheduled for installations at Southeastern pop-ups, including the Scott Antique Markets in Atlanta.
His signature work is known for its vibrant colors and complex layering. His utilitarian approach starts with the use of nontraditional media and tools including torn canvas and kitchen utensils. He credits his process to self-discovery - more than self-taught – in his endless exploration for technique and experimentation with hues, perspective and color theory.
Art found Joseph during the silver lining of the pandemic. He was a Regional Advisor Consultant in the wholesale industry for a leading asset management firm. He holds his Series 6, 63 and 66 licenses. Today, with a leap of faith, he holds a paintbrush and brilliant sense of the aesthetic.

A Georgia native, Joseph was born and raised in Carrollton. A life-long tennis player, he’s also a new dad to a rescue dog Roscoe, an American Dingo.
